we from “Love me tender” want to thank you for the word-of-mouth advertising we receive from you. Most of our new customers come to us because of a recommendation by a friend. Thank you for recommending us.

We all are facing hard times in RL economy and the hard times will hit the SL economy, too. Therefore our marketing department (I guess my lovely partner Rockje has never before been called a department, I hope she isn’t offended by this wording) came up with the idea to offer all members of our group “Love Me Tender Park” a FREE gift once a month. Don’t get me wrong, this won’t be a FREEBIE, but one of our regular products. The members of our group get it for FREE, because we know that you like our products and because we hope that you go on recommending us to your friends.

Today will be the first time time we offer this FREE gift to the members of our group. Members will receive a group notice telling them where and how to obtain their gift for this month. This month you will receive a letter that displays a card with the word “My darling, I love you” when touched. You can restrict the card to react only to a certain avatar by writing his or her name into the description of the product.

Halloween is near. As you know, our site is dedicated to romance. What is a romantic halloween? I am still pondering. Meanwhile I am trying to cultivate a pumpkin in heart form (no success so far) and I made another FREEBIE available to the public that isn’t truly romantic but it’s funny at least.

Seekers, I give you the “Hide Me Body Pumpkin“.

It seems like magic. The lower part of your torso and your legs and feet are hidden from view. They are totally invisible. The upper part of your torso is replaced by a pumpkin and your head sticks out of this pumpkin. The effect is best when you detach all visible attachments (e.g. shoes, but not standard clothes) when using this, since visible attachments stay visible.

This is an update to a prior post I did in April 2008 (Click here to go to this post). While only 12 people voted on the subject if Second Life should get it’s own star on the RL “Walk of Fame” in Hollywood, our FREE “virtual star” was taken hundreds of times on SL Exchange and in-world.

It was time to “update” this star, so we enhanced it with a nice effect. When someone stands on this star, he gets showered by golden stars. We even did a little video of this effect …

If you want to see the star “in action”, teleport to the Love me tender Park in Rockje (145/185/25).

To complete the package, I added a neutral prim of the same marble as the one used for the star. So
now you are able to build whole plazas with the star and neutral prims in between.

Not all of you out there have beaches. Some of you prefer lakes or in-land places to the tropical beaches so popular in SL. Our famous sand-writings are lovely, but I understand that they don’t go well with such a neighbourhood. But – salvation is near.

You can’t say no, in Second Life, where romance blooms, and love is in the air, so kiss me tender, love me true. Oh yeah my love do that.

And how do we tell our love that we are in dire need of a tender kiss? With a coconut! This month’s freebie (yes, I changed it from weekly to monthly) is a FREE coconut with the words “Kiss me tender” on it. Just put it in one of your trees, preferably a palm, and it rezzes a new coconut every minute and drops it to the ground with the same lovely words on it. The dropped coconuts are temp-on-rez which means, that they disappear after a minute and they don’t count against the prim count of your parcel (See info on LSL Wiki).

Are you a builder? I love to build in Second Life. Almost as much as I like to court my lovely princess Rockje. If you are building for some time, you will find situations where you dearly miss the chance to use prims larger than 10×10x10 meters. Why do I need 4 prims for a floor of 40 x 40 m? Or 10 prims for a road of 100m length? You can save a lot of prims (and prims are precious in SL) if you use megaprims.

If you want to create an elevator to your skybox at 500 meters, you can either use fifty 10m prims for the elevator tube or one 500m prim or ten 50m prims.

So what are megaprims?

Megaprims are prims that are larger in one or more dimensions than the normally “allowed” 10×10x10m. Due to a server bug and more recently a server update, it was possible to create larger prims by using a few tricks for a short period of time.

Megaprims have one serious drawback: You can’t change their size. If you do, they return to the maximum allowed size of 10×10x10m. So you have to look for a prim that matches the size you need as closely as possible. But you can change their shape (e.g. convert them from a box to a cube or convert them to a sculptie) and you can hollow and twist them. Just remember: Never try to change their size!
